Grant Rebrand FAQs

May 20, 2025

We know that a new name is a big change—and with change often come good questions.

While our name and look may be new, our commitment to you hasn’t changed. We're still the same trusted partner, continuing the work of supporting communities, advancing equity, and investing in our communities—just with a name that better reflects who we are and where we're headed.

Below, you’ll find answers to some common questions we’ve heard from our grant partners. If your question isn’t listed here, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We're here for you—and we’re grateful for your partnership.

Will our current or future grants be affected?

No. Grantmaking processes—including applications, payments, and reporting—will continue as usual. You’ll see our new name on materials after May 21.

Do we need to change how we credit the Foundation publicly?

We’ll provide updated language and guidance through your grant portal on how to appropriately recognize our partnership.

Will grant agreements or reporting requirements change?

No. Existing grant terms remain the same. Future documents may reflect updated branding.

How do we access our grants?

This process has not changed and you can still use the same grant portal as before the name change: here

Checks that say DSACF, can we still cash them?

Yes.

We already have printing done with the old logo & name, can we use the old logo & name or must we reprint?

You can use the old logo and name. In the future please use the new name and logos, which will be shared via a media kit in the grants portal in late May.

If I have a question about the new name or logo and how to use it, who should I reach out to?

You’re welcome to reach out to Carly Viegut, our Communications Manager at carly@borealwaters.org with any questions regarding the rebrand.

Who do I contact with questions about my grant award?

For grant program related questions please reach out to Kursula Harris, our Senior Community Impact Associate at kursula@borealwaters.org
